Shigeo Kageyama

Known as Mob, Shigeo is a middle-school student with extraordinarily strong psychic abilities. His concerns are recognizably ordinary for his age: a crush, school, and what to do with his future. He also works for Reigen at a very low hourly rate, apparently unaware of how thoroughly his self-proclaimed psychic mentor takes advantage of him.

Mob’s power is spectacular, but the character hook is his wish to be valued for more than it. He struggles with how dangerous his emotions can become, while the people around him pull him toward very different ideas of strength. His awkwardness and earnest effort to improve himself keep the supernatural battles tied to a recognizable growing-up story.
