Editorial policy

Our goal is simple: give fans honest, accurate and easy-to-read guides. This page explains how we do that.

Facts first

Facts like episode counts, dates, studios, staff, characters and franchise order come from our database, which is built from open community data. We do not make up facts. If we are not sure about something, we leave it out or mark it as unconfirmed.

How guides are written

Our write-ups are created by the Aniphoria team with the help of software tools, including AI writing aids. Every guide must stick to facts from our data or from well-known, verifiable information, and is written in plain language for everyday viewers.

Opinions and scores

When we say a show is great for a certain kind of fan, that is an opinion and we try to make that clear. Scores shown on pages are community averages from AniList, not our own ratings.

Independence

Ads and any affiliate links never decide what we say about a show. No studio or streaming service pays for a better review.

Corrections

When we find or are told about an error, we fix it as soon as we can. You can report a mistake through our Contact page.
